I regularly see these spiders on many forums..

http://cuil.com and http://yandex.ru - Anyone know what these sites are? They don't look particularly nice or user friendly, are these search engines or directories?

Anyone know anything about these? I only know them through noting their spiders.

Cuil is a search engine that was one of the supposed "Google Killers". It was on the news for a while and then dropped off the radar. Pity. I like the design of the search page.
